Ephraim McDowell Health to utilize integrated solutions to enhance patient engagement
ORLANDO, FL—January 9, 2017 – HealthGrid, the provider of CareNotify™, an enterprise and mobile patient engagement solution and Iatric Systems Inc., a healthcare information technology company dedicated to helping healthcare organizations enhance their IT investments, announced today an alliance that will allow MEDITECH hospitals and health systems to leverage the data contained in their existing EHR technology and extend its use to meet value-based care initiatives.
“Iatric Systems is pleased to partner with HealthGrid to provide a cost-effective solution to Ephraim McDowell Health, a MEDITECH hospital, enabling the hospital to deliver valuable information to patients, and increase the hospital’s readiness for the transition to value-based care,” said Frank Fortner, President, Iatric Systems.
As part of the agreement, Iatric Systems will provide integration services between HealthGrid solutions and the EHR system for Ephraim McDowell Health. The integration will allow CareNotify to deliver appointment reminders, care summaries, patient education, secure messaging, mobile check-in and point-of-care surveys. These enhanced patient engagement opportunities will help the hospital meet meaningful use requirements utilizing a solution that is PCMH pre-validated.
“We wanted to enhance the patient experience across our health system and with the addition of CareNotify™ we feel confident we have the tools to assist us in closing gaps in care. Improving quality and increasing patient satisfaction is at the center of every IT decision we make,” said Gary Neat, Executive Director of Information Services & Chief Information Officer, Ephraim McDowell Health. “Iatric Systems’ more than 27-year trusted history of successfully working with MEDITECH hospitals made the HealthGrid partnership possible. In addition to improved patient engagement, CareNotify™ enables us to streamline and optimize our administrative and clinical workflows, making them more efficient.”
Now, hospitals and health systems using any version of MEDITECH solutions can be assured that rather than replacing their existing EHR systems they have a viable option to meet value-based care initiatives and improve access to health systems for patients through engagement technologies.
“We are pleased to partner with Iatric Systems and assist Ephraim McDowell Health in bringing proven engagement solutions to their patients without the need to alter the infrastructure of their existing EHR,” said Raj Toleti, CEO of HealthGrid. “The support and knowledge of Iatric Systems enables HealthGrid to offer gold-standard patient engagement capabilities to MEDITECH hospitals.”
